So if you’ve been following my blog you know I’ve been in Cannon Beach with my wife celebrating our 3 year anniversary. If you follow me on twitter you’re probably aware I picked up the fuji instax mini 7s before we headed to the beach. Above are our snapshots from the trip. You can see benj and his wife maddie in a few of the frames above. They swung down for a couple days to hang out with us and to get their portraits done. The camera gets an A+ from me, I mean, it’s cheap and it’s super fun, what else would you expect for a little piece of plastic. The fact that you don’t know what you will get from it is part of the charm. The images above that are two horizontals side by side represent the actual image size almost perfectly, the film is very small. I love small images so these little things are right up my ally, I’ve got a few shoved in my wallet that I snapped of lid, how awesome is that? It’s a really good cheap option to the polaroid. My biggest beef with the camera is that it over exposed about 2 full stops in clear overhead sun. I remedied that by using my sunglasses as an ND filter. Also, Fuji has only made ISO 800 film available for the camera, would be nice to have another option. The camera added a lot of fun to an already good trip. Oh, PS. How rad does Lid look at 7 months pregnant?!?

September 12, 2009 - 9:59 am - You know what, you might as well have been paid for this post, as instantly after seeing these I had to hit ebay to get one of these babies. :D I've been annoyed that I let my old polaroid go as lately I've been wanting to do these picture within picture things, and this seems pretty perfect for the job. So thank you, your job here is done! :P
September 12, 2009 - 8:04 am - Righteously cool man. I've been showing this stuff to my wife and I'm probably gonna pick up one now. It's funny, when I'm a fan of something I become an evangelist for it. Looks like you're the same way, haha.
